Welcome! Here’s how to activate your Spotter
You can activate your Spotter in 8 simple steps. Let’s go through them together.
1. Fully charge the Spotter in 1-2 hours
Make sure you fully charge the Spotter before activating it, so you can get started straight away. The box includes a USB cable for charging.
2. Download the Spotter app
Download the Spotter app for free from the App Store or Google Play. Prefer to log in via your desktop? Go to my.spottergps.com
3. Create an account and log in
Open the app or website and you’ll see a login screen. Don’t have an account yet? Then click on ‘Create a new account’.
4. Add the Spottercode to your account
Use the 12-letter code on the card included in the pack to add the Spotter to your account.
5. Select how many months you want to use the Spotter
You can choose between 3, 6, 12 or 24 months’ prepaid credit. You can read more about prepaid credit here.
6. Once the charging is complete, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds
The Spotter will be fully charged after approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Switch it on by pressing and holding the on/off button for 5 seconds.
7. Take the Spotter outside for 15 minutes to ensure GPS reception and mobile network coverage
Time to use the Spotter! Take it outside for 15 minutes to ensure optimal GPS reception. The first time you use it, it may take a little longer for the location to be detected.
8. The first location is coming in!
Yes! The first location has been added. You can now make full use of the Spotter. We hope you enjoy using the Spotter and find it convenient.
