This makes all the difference
The Pet Spotter uses GPS to determine the location, which is sent to our online software via the internal SIM card (GPRS) in the GPS tracker. You then log in online to view the location details.
The best GPS trackers for dogs are the Pet Spotter for dogs and the Animal Spotter. Both are highly accurate GPS trackers that are small and comfortable for a dog to wear. They are easy to attach to a collar and subscription-free.
Attach the Pet Spotter to your dog’s collar. You can then view its location and other details online or via the smartphone app. Your dog’s location is shown on a map, and you can even zoom in for a detailed view.
The Spotter dog GPS tracker works throughout Europe, which isn’t the case with all GPS trackers. So even if you’re going on holiday, you can still use the Pet Spotter here. We recommend using the Pet Spotter outdoors. Indoors, the signal may be weaker, which can affect the accuracy of the location tracking.
The Spotter dog GPS tracker is equipped with a motion sensor that detects the difference between movement and stillness. When the dog moves, a location is sent every 5 minutes, which you can view immediately online via your account or the Spotter app. Want to know the location right now? Simply click on ‘Request location’ and you’ll receive a location update every 20 seconds for 3 minutes.
That’s right, the Pet Spotter for dogs is subscription-free. You can choose from prepaid credit packages of 3, 6, 12 or 24 months. You can use the Pet Spotter as much as you like during this period, after which it stops working. This means you can stop using it for a while and then start using it again by topping up your credit. No use means no charges.
The Spotter dog GPS tracker costs a one-off fee of €99.95 and works with prepaid credit. Find out how this credit works here.
You can set up different zones on the Spotter dog tracker. These are virtual circles around a specific area, such as your home address, the woods or another location. You create a zone, and as soon as your dog enters or leaves the zone, you will receive a notification.
The Spotter GPS tracker is equipped with an SOS button. It is not intended for your dog to press, but rather for the person who finds your dog should it go missing. If this button is pressed, you will immediately receive a message with the location and you can contact the person who found your dog by calling Pet Spotter.
The Pet Spotter is equipped with a handy call function. This allows you, as the dog owner, to call the Spotter if, for example, your dog is missing and the finder has pressed the SOS button on the Pet Spotter. It is possible to call the Spotter, but not from the GPS tracker itself.
You can download the Spotter app for free from the App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android. Once you’ve received the Pet Spotter, add it to the app and you’re ready to start using the dog GPS tracker.
The locations are stored for 7 days and can be viewed via the online software and app.
The Pet Spotter’s standby time is 1-3 days. This depends entirely on usage. For example, if your dog is out and about all day, more locations will be sent and the battery will last for 1 day. If your dog is a little less active, the battery will last longer. We recommend charging the Pet Spotter every evening.
The warranty period is 24 months. Should you experience any issues with the dog GPS tracker, our support team will first attempt to resolve the problem remotely. If this proves impossible, you can return the Pet Spotter and, if necessary, you will receive a replacement.
Absolutely – as a dog owner, you’re allowed to track your dog using a Pet Spotter GPS tracker.
Unfortunately, not all dog GPS trackers are safe and reliable. Fortunately, the Pet Spotter for dogs is completely safe to use. You can read here how we ensure this safety.
The Pet Spotter works using GPS (satellites) and GPRS (integrated SIM card). This means the dog tracker always has coverage throughout Europe. So wherever the Pet Spotter is, you can view your pet’s location online via your smartphone or computer.
