Curious to know what others think?

It works just as expected. Knowing when your child or client with an intellectual disability leaves the (safe) zone and being able to see where they are gives us peace of mind.
A handy watch. My little boy loves it, partly because of the step counter. Ordering was quick and easy, as was the delivery. It’s also very easy to use.
The best purchase ever for a 10-year-old who doesn’t have a mobile phone. We bought this because our son isn’t allowed a mobile yet. He’s been given this and it’s a brilliant buy. He goes out on his bike and we can track him wherever he goes. If he’s in trouble, he can press the emergency button and a ‘Help me’ message pops up. We can also call him, which is brilliant.

From the age of 3 or 4, you can start using a GPS watch for your child. Of course, you can do this earlier, but the child won’t be out of a parent’s sight for very long at that stage.

The children’s watch uses GPS to determine the location, which is sent to our online software via the watch’s built-in SIM card (GPRS). You can then log in online to view the location data.

Our choice is the Spotter GPS Watch. This is a small GPS watch for children, featuring a special strap designed for kids. Available in black, pink and blue.

You put the child’s GPS watch on their wrist when they go outside. You can then check their location online or via the smartphone app. Your child’s location is shown on a map, and you can even zoom in for a detailed view.

How many times a day does the GPS watch send a location update?

That’s right, the Spotter GPS children’s watch is subscription-free. You can choose from prepaid credit packages of 3, 6, 12 or 24 months. You can use the Spotter within this period, after which it stops working. This means you can put the Spotter away for a while and then use it again by topping up your credit. No use means no charges.

The Spotter GPS children’s watch costs a one-off fee of €99.95 and operates on a prepaid credit basis. Three months’ use costs €7.00 per month, six months €6.50 per month, 12 months €5.00 per month and 24 months’ use €4.50 per month.

You can set up different zones on the Spotter GPS children’s watch. These are virtual circles around a specific area, such as your home address, school or grandparents’ house. You create a zone, and as soon as your child enters or leaves it, you will receive a notification.

The Spotter GPS children’s watch is equipped with an SOS button. If your child presses this button, you will immediately receive a push notification on your smartphone, along with their location. You can then take action or call your child via the Spotter.

When you switch on the watch, you will hear a short beep. After that, you won’t hear any more sounds, except when you receive a call on the watch, in which case you will hear a ringtone.

The Spotter children’s GPS watch is equipped with a handy call function. This allows you, as a parent, to call your child and communicate with them. This is useful if your child doesn’t yet have a phone. As a parent, you can call the Spotter, but this cannot be done the other way round.

You can use the Spotter app, which is available to download for free from the App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android. Once you have received the Spotter GPS watch, simply add it to the app and you’re ready to start using the children’s watch.

The locations are stored for 7 days and can be viewed via the online software and app.

The battery life is up to 5 days, averaging two to three days.

The warranty period is 24 months. Should you experience any issues with the watch, our support team will first attempt to resolve the problem remotely. If this proves impossible, you can return the Spotter and, if necessary, you will receive a replacement.

Absolutely – as a parent, you are allowed to track your child using a GPS watch.

Unfortunately, not all GPS children’s watches are safe, as has been reported in various media outlets. Fortunately, Spotter children’s watches are completely safe to use and user privacy is also guaranteed.

The Spotter GPS Children’s Watch uses GPS (satellites) and GPRS (integrated SIM card). This means the children’s watch always has coverage throughout Europe. So wherever the Spotter is, you can view its location online via your smartphone or computer.

The Spotter GPS children’s watch uses the Spotter software and app. You do not need to use an external app. This enhances the product’s safety.

Of course, this varies from person to person. But generally speaking, the key features are: GPS accuracy, battery life, water resistance, and a user-friendly app for parents.

Yes, you can add multiple Spotter children’s watches to a single account. This is handy for families with several children.
